The Procedure

At the time of your consultation, you can receive an analysis of your complexion using VISIA™ Complexion Analysis System. VISIA™ helps us look at a patient’s skin strengths and weaknesses and analyze opportunities for improvement. VISIA™ scans your skin and measures your skin pigmentation, pore size, porphyrins (evidence of bacteria lodged in pores, which may lead to acne), UV spots, sun damage, texture, and wrinkles. With this quantitative assessment of your skin, we can then compare your relative skin condition within your peer group. We then develop more targeted treatment programs and we can track progress and treatment outcomes over time.

Learn about how it works

The imaging session combines state-of-the-art multi-spectral imaging and computer-generated imagery with digital photos. First, you cleanse your face, then you sit right next to a computer screen as a nearby digital camera snaps several photos of your face in about a minute. The computer system then analyzes your skin for various conditions – sun spots, pore size, porphyrins (a chemical footprint of acne), wrinkles, unevenness of skin tone and ultraviolet (UV) sun damage.

What to expect

This state-of-the-art device creates a digital read-out of your skin’s health and condition. Following your personalized VISIA™ skin analysis, your skin is graded relative to others of the same sex, age and ethnicity. After the analysis, digital images appear on the computer screen with scores. An individualized report with your results is provided which will give us insight into treatment options. Educated with this information, our skin care professionals can create a customized skin care plan designed based on your specific complexion. Once you’ve completed your treatments, you’ll be able to view “before” and “after” pictures that show visible results.

What can the Skin Complexion Analysis tell you?

Skin Complexion Analysis can determine the percentage of wrinkles, sun-damaged cells, pores, spots and acne-causing bacteria present on a patient’s skin and predict the natural aging process if the patient’s skin is let untreated.

What is the fee for this service?

This hour long consultation is essential to develop a comprehensive treatment Road-map with a fee of $75. Please ask our therapist how this fee can be waived.
