It is an ablative fractional laser. This aggressive form of laser resurfacing delivers intense heat to the skin surface to vaporize skin cells (non-ablative lasers do not destroy skin cells), and the fractional aspect is targeted to a specific treatment area. CO2RE® treatments augment collagen production, tighten and tone skin, and disintegrate damaged or hyperpigmented cells. CO2RE® is most commonly used to treat wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation irregularities, acne scarring, and skin texture and volume.
Through the use of light CO2RE works to reduce the signs of skin aging and alleviate the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, blemishes, or scars. It encourages the production of collagen and healthy new skin cells. It has the ability to treat superficial and deep skin layers simultaneously.
Results are typically quite dramatic – offering significant improvements in texture, tone, and overall appearance. Patients will often see marked reduction in fine and coarse lines, reduction of brown age spots, softening of coarse facial features, smoother tone, and a tighter appearance of the skin.
